A.R.N Projects traces its roots back to 1956, when the Dewhurst brothers — John, Brendan, and William — began their construction journey across the North West, specialising in Bricklaying, Stonemasonry, and Joinery.
In 1961, John Dewhurst founded J M Dewhurst (Preston), and over the decades that followed, the brothers made a lasting impact across both public and private sectors.
Now evolved into A.R.N Projects, the core values of Honesty, Integrity, and Industriousness that John instilled continue to guide everything we do. Today, his grandson Arron Dewhurst serves as Managing Director, proudly carrying that legacy forward.

JOHN
DEWHURST
John Dewhurst was the kind of man who led not by title, but by example. His principles — honesty, integrity, and an industriousness that never sought the spotlight — became the foundation on which three generations of the Dewhurst family have built their careers and their reputation.
John sadly passed away in March 2025, but his presence is felt in every project we undertake and every relationship we nurture. To the whole A.R.N family, he was more than a founder.

Dewhurst

DIRECTOR
Our Managing Director, Arron, brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to every project. Beginning his career in construction at just 14 years old as a bricklayer with J.M. Dewhurst Building Contractors, Arron honed his skills over time and transitioned into project management. With extensive technical expertise and on-site experience, coupled with his keen attention to detail, Arron ensures that every project undertaken by A.R.N always maintains the highest standards.

Denise brings a wealth of experience to the team, with a background in loss assessment that gives her a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills. As Office Manager, she keeps the day-to-day operations running smoothly and supports both the team and clients with efficiency and care. Outside of work, Denise enjoys spending quality time with her family on holidays, cheering on her favorite football team, and taking relaxing walks on the beach.

The backbone of each and every one of our projects, Wes ensures the smooth running of operational day to day logistics. With over two decades of expertise as an internal plasterer, Wes excels in adding the final details to homes, leaving a lasting impact once the project is finished. His superb organisational skills also guarantee that the final outcome achieves nothing short of excellence. Living in the Ribble Valley, Wes enjoys leisurely weekend walks around the Trough of Bowland with his family.

Martyn brings a wealth of knowledge to the team, especially in recognizing how the completion of a project reflects its quality. From a mechanical engineering background, Martyn is methodical, prudent and thorough - bringing his keen technical eye to our construction projects, maintaining a quality standard right down to the last screw. In his spare time, you'll find Martyn undertaking his passion for motorsport, and is a keen touring car driver.

Beginning his career in construction as a bricklayer and general builder, Kieran brought to the company a wealth of knowledge relating to the importance of organisation and diligence when it comes to the front end work that makes a project run smoothly. When Kieran isn't on site, he's always keeping active in the gym or at the rugby with his family and friends.

AFTERCARE
MANAGER
Michael started his career as a joiner, bringing hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the construction process to his role as Aftercare Manager. He takes pride in ensuring every project is meticulously organised and he ensures that clients continue to feel supported long after the build is complete.
A lifelong Everton fan, Michael enjoys watching the match whenever he can, and loves getting away on trips with friends.
